How do I add a diagram to a Jira issue?
Write a Mermaid code block (```mermaid) in any issue description or comment. The app detects it and renders the diagram automatically; there is nothing to configure.
Does my diagram data leave Jira?
No. Diagrams are rendered entirely in your browser using the Mermaid library, and the app never communicates with any service outside Atlassian: no analytics, no tracking. Your diagram source stays in Jira unless you deliberately take it out: an export writes a file to your device, and QR transfer carries the diagram inside the code you scan.
Which diagram types are supported?
Everything Mermaid supports: flowcharts, sequence diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, Gantt charts, state diagrams, class diagrams, mindmaps, pie charts, and more.
Can the app modify my issues?
No. It requests a single read-only scope (read:jira-work) and never writes to your issues.
